Stones
The habits that don't change. Fixed, daily, automatic.
Stones — The habits that don’t change
Stones are the things you always do: take English classes, exercise, read, do the dishes. They’re not tasks — they don’t complete, they don’t reschedule. They exist. They appear on your agenda every day at the same time.
What for? Keeping your fixed habits visible without them competing with your tasks. Stones don’t have checkboxes — they’re reminders of what you’ve already decided to do.
Creating a Stone
- Settings > Stones > ”+ New Stone”
- Name: “Exercise”, “English Classes”, “Read 30 min”
- Time: 07:00, 12:00, 22:00 (as many as you need)
- Days: select the days of the week (M T W T F S S)
Example:
English Classes 07:00 [M T W T F S S]
Exercise 17:00 [M W F]
Read before 22:00 [M T W T F]
How they appear in Horizon
Stones are shown in the MORNING/AFTERNOON/EVENING blocks alongside your tasks, but with a visual difference: they use the stone icon (♦) instead of a dot, and don’t have estimated time or checkboxes.
MORNING
♦ 07:00 English Classes
• 08:00 Study thermodynamics
~08:00 Read pp 45-67
~08:30 Solve exercises
Stones appear in their corresponding block based on their time:
- MORNING: 06:00 - 11:59
- AFTERNOON: 12:00 - 19:59
- EVENING: 20:00 - 05:59
Today’s Stones
A quick modal showing all of today’s Stones. Accessible from:
- Home > “See stones”
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+,
It’s a quick glance: name, time, status (did you do it?). No additional actions — it’s just informational.
Stones in Chaos Mode
When you activate Chaos Mode, today’s Stones appear in the left panel. You see them while working on the defense plan. They can’t be modified from there — they’re just a reminder of your fixed commitments.
Stone vs. Task
| Stone | Task | |
|---|---|---|
| Completes | No | Yes |
| Has a date | No (it’s daily) | Yes |
| Appears in | Horizon (no checkbox) | Horizon, Tasks, Home |
| Gets rescheduled | No | Yes (with reason) |
| Example | ”English Classes" | "Read chapter 5” |
Stones are the substrate of your week. Tasks are what you do on top of that substrate.
