Configuration
Settings, sync server and companion app pairing.
Configuration
What you set once and forget. Settings doesn’t have thirty options — just what’s needed.
Settings — What you set once
Settings is where you fine-tune Monolith’s behavior. Not thirty options — just what’s needed: naming system, language, automatic focus, notifications, stones, quotes, and Chaos Mode config.
What for? Customize the app without overwhelm. Everything you change here reflects instantly.
How to use it? Six sections in tabs: System (language, naming, time format, notifications, collision), Stones (your fixed habits), Defense (projects for Chaos Mode), Quotes (manage the opening quote bank), History (activity log), Credits.
Philosophy: Configuration shouldn’t be a project in itself. Settings exists so you tweak the minimum and get back to what matters: your day.
Server — Monolith or custom
Monolith connects to the official server to sync your Companion app, or you can use your own custom server. Your data is end-to-end encrypted, so the server cannot read it.
What for? Choose between the official Monolith server or a custom one you host yourself. The server only relays encrypted messages — it stores nothing.
How to use it? In Settings > Sync, select “Monolith” to use the official server, or “Custom” to enter your own server URL. The connection is tested before saving.
Philosophy: Your data is yours. Even if the server is on the internet, end-to-end encryption ensures that only your devices can read it. Choosing your own server is an extra layer of control.
